Jennie Kim known mononymously as Jennie, is a South Korean singer and rapper. Born and raised in South Korea, Jennie studied in New Zealand for five years before returning to South Korea in 2010. She debuted as a member of the girl group Blackpink, formed by YG Entertainment, in August 2016. In November 2018, Jennie made her debut as a solo artist with the single "Solo". The song was commercially successful, topping both the Gaon Digital Chart and Billboard's World Digital Songs chart. In 2023, she will be making her acting debut in the HBO series The Idol, under the stage name Jennie Ruby Jane. |

Jennie Blackpink Wiki & Biography
Jennie was born in Cheongdam-dong, South Korea by the name Jennie Kim. Jennie grew up in Auckland, New Zealand until returning to high school. When she moved to Seoul, South Korea, she immediately became a trainee of YG Entertainment in 2010. She was raised abroad, so she is fluent in speaking in English. She is also fluent in Korean and Japanese. She was only 14 years old when she joined YG, but she has proved to many that she has a lot of potential in her. She has also been colaborated with her fellow YG artists before she was cast as a member of Blackpink. Jennie is said to be the possible leader of the group, but after the band debuted, there was no leader due to their similar ages.
